You may need to correct imbalances before moving onto other physical activities, like lifting weights.
Those who need to correct muscular or postural imbalances, are in pain, or who simply have not been able to maintain a fitness program will benefit by starting with a series of Postural Alignment sessions. If you know this is where you want to begin, you can skip the 1-hr Initial Consultation and begin with a 2-hr Postural Alignment Session. This Initial Session consists of: photos of your posture, a postural analysis, seven functional test exercises, a printout of the full description of your individualized program & pictures of each exercise. I will teach you how to perform each exercise and we will take a final assessment to make sure we made a difference in the way you feel; either pain has been relieved or you feel different in the standing position.
I use gentle exercises, stretches and static poses, which, when done on a daily basis create positive postural changes, free you of pain and release movement restrictions. This will ensure you are building on a rock solid foundation in all future endeavors. Good posture is priceless. After you have achieved it, you maintain it and you can do anything. It is important to consider that this program takes as long is it takes, we are dealing with the human body, which works on its own time line. My clients usually start with committing to eight to twelve visits. There is a pay as you go plan and a package plan.

You may need constant support and would not workout without supervision
Those who need additional supervision with their posture program can use my Personal Training rate in ˝hr or 1 hr increments, during which we review and refine your personalized exercise program. Those who have done their postural work and are ready to move onto weight training and need constant support, see me two to three times per week and schedule & pay on either a monthly basis or in three or six month blocks. Monthly is considered the pay as you go the rate. The Three and Six Month Packages are at a discounted rate and all sessions are booked ahead of time to insure consistency.
You may need expert advice on strength training but ultimately want to be on your own
Those who are more independent, have maintained perfect posture, and want a customized home or travel program and know they have some things to learn can greatly benefit from Personal Training Sessions. You pick the number of sessions you want to purchase and Ann-Margaret will teach you what you want to learn.
Many clients start their strength training by scheduling two or three sessions per week and then reduce the weekly sessions as your knowledge and skills increase. We continually assess your progress and taper off the number of sessions per week as you become more independent until you are at the point of needing only check-in sessions to learn new exercises and keep your workouts fresh.
